- Find River A. You will use the base image and printed maps to find the river.Â
- Move around Google Earth to see your river in 3D . Inspect the landscape to determine the direction water will flow.Â

How would you describe the shape of the channel? Is it straight, is it meandering?
Does the channel shape change as you move upstream or downstream?
- Repeat these steps for River B. Type in the coordinates from the table above.
- Explore the landscape and try to determine which way the river is flowing. Use all the information you can!
Was the flow direction easier or harder to determine for River B than River A? Â Why or why not?
